Client Alert: Notices of assessment and other ATO correspondence for clients with a myGov account

If you have created a myGov account and linked to myTax, the ATO advises that you will receive your notice of assessment and other important ATO mail direct to your myGov Inbox.

As your accountant and tax agent, we ensure that you are compliant in all your tax affairs and navigate the complex administration of the system. This change means we will not receive such notices and other ATO correspondence in future if you link the ATO via myGov.

If you would like the confidence and reassurance that your tax affairs are compliant, up to date and free of ATO errors we suggest you “unlink” the ATO from your myGov account so that the ATO no longer sends correspondence directly to you.
